Sky has licensed S3's StormTest product to automate the testing of its set top boxes.
A new version of electronic programme guide software for its range of Sky+ HD high definition PVRs started on March 10 and is continuing.
"Sky is committed to finding innovative ways to improve our current operational methodologies and of driving even more value from our product development activity," said John Geraghty, Sky's head of conditional access services. "S3’s StormTest was the automated testing solution which best met our needs and we chose the product predominantly for its ease of use, extensibility and ability to seamlessly integrate with our existing test environment."
