Questions about: Triax TD 78cm Pole Mount Solid Dish

Question: Hi' Would I be able to pick up Hotbird etc with this dish? Thanks, Bill

Response

Hi
As long as you aligned it correctly, this dish will have no problem picking up Hotbird and the like.

Question: I would like to be able to watch other languages channels such as italian, french and spanish. We already have a digital receiver, but it only releases english channels. Can this Triax Dish alone capture foreign channels? Thanks.

Response

Hi
Unfortunately there is no "quick and easy" answer to this question. An 80cm dish (such as the Triax) and universal LNB (plus cable, connectors etc.) is as good a place as any to start. Align the dish on the satellite of most interest, and away you go.

Question: we have a caravan in the countryside with a very poor tv reception and a snowy picture would this dish solve the problem and how do you line the dish up thanks b.kean

Response

Hi
A dish would certainly help your problems, although you simply need a stronger aerial. Unfortunately we are not caravan specialists, although we can certainly supply all the requisite biots and bobs.

Have a look at http://www.satelliteforcaravans.co.uk It`s a very wordy site, but should point you in the right direction. Don`t be put off by the name either. the information contained on their pages is relevant regardless of whether you want ! If you get all the answers you need from them, we will be happy to help where we can.

Question: Would this work well in Ghana?

Response

I am not too famuiliar with satellite use in Africa, but I would suggest that you need a much bigger dish than this to guarantee a decent signal. Possibly in excess of 1 meter.

Question: Can I use this dish to improve Freeview reception? If not is there an alternative, please

Response

I could well help, but there are areas of the UK that are just blighted by poor freeview reception. Call our help Desk on 0800 138 3052 to get one of our technicians to give you a free inspection.
