Response
Fit the cap over the cable witht the threaded end towards the end of the cable. Stripo ff the last 22mm if the outer insulation of the cable. Fit the metal claw OVER the metalic cable screen(s) with the points of the claw away from the end of the cable.
Fold back the outer (braided) screen over the claw and trim with a pair of side cutters so that the individual wires of the braid do not overlap beyond the pointed ends of the claw. Fan out the wires of the braid so that they are evenly spaced around the circumference of the claw.
Trim off and remove all the visible part of the cable inner screen (by nicking one edge and tearing off the rest) Trim off the dielectic material, leaving 2-3mm of insulation showing. bend a slight kink in the metallic inner core of the cable half way along the length that is showing. Slide the inner core of the connector over the inner cire of the cable with the pin away from the cable, trimming off any part of the inner core of the cable that protudes beyond the end of the pin.
Slide the outer sleeve of the connector over the inner core, with the threaded end towards the cable (the metallic cable screen shoul dnow be trapped bewtween the two concentric pieces if metal) Screw the cap of the connector on to the outer sleeve tightly, forcing the points of the claw to bite into the cabke - it shoul dnow be impossible to to pull the connector off the cable without using very considerable force.
