| Question: |

|
Can the two way splitter be connected for reverse flow?
i.e, into one out, a coax from the sky box RF out, and into the other out a coax from a terrestrial aerial. And from the in connection a coax to a second tv. Thanking you. |
Response
Having taken advice form our technical department, I am reliably informed that this is possible.

|
Can the two way splitter be used to enable us to view different channels in two rooms (each via their own freesat box) from a single satellite dish and single LNB/cable? |
Response
Hi
The answer is yes. Sort of!!
One of the outputs has DC pass, and the receiver connected to this supplies power to the LNB. In the case of most systems, this ‘master’ receiver will also select polarity, and thus determine the channels available to the slave receiver. Channels are transmitted Horizontal-Vertical-H-V-H-V etc. so if the main receiver (the one controlling the LNB) is on say channel 1, that only allows the slave (other) receiver to view channels 1, 3, 5, 7, etc.
Although an inexpensive method of running two receivers from a single dish, it is not as flexible as a twin LNB which allows two receivers to select channels of either polarity independently.
